Review: I love this duet. Esmee Denters is fantastic, but the One Republic singer kind of steals the show. It's his song, though, so he should. If they sold this as a single, it could sell over 1 million copies.
News: Esmee says she's hard at work on her first album: "Right now I am really busy with writing and recording my first album and since you can only have one first album release i want every song to be perfect thats why we are taking our time and were not rushing it :-), please just bare with me and i promiss you that it will be worth waiting for."
Analysis: Sounds like the advice of industry folks. While it's no doubt true you want to put your best foot forward in your first album, there's also the need to strike while the iron is hot. The challenge for the artists discovered on YouTube -- Mia Rose is another that comes to mind -- is the huge lag time between being discovered and putting out the album.
